Welcome to Bin Blaster – Terms & Conditions
Hi there! We’re excited to help keep your bins fresh and clean. To ensure we provide the best service possible, please take a moment to read through our terms. By booking a job with us, you’re agreeing to the details below.
1. Simple & Easy Payments
We want our service to be "set and forget" for you!
- Preferred Option: We use Stripe for Direct Debits. It’s secure, simple, and ensures your service continues without a hitch. Payments are processed on the Monday of your scheduled cleaning week.
- One-Off Cleans: These are paid in advance via the invoice sent to your email.
- Other Cards: We can accept Mastercard, Visa, or Debit cards, though a small 1.5% processing fee applies.
2. Flexible Bookings & Cancellations
You can cancel your recurring service at any time after your initial commitment is met.
- Early Cancellation: Our recurring rates are discounted. If you cancel a monthly or quarterly plan before your second clean has taken place, we will simply charge the difference between the recurring rate and a standard one-off clean ($65).
- Example: Cancellation of a monthly plan results in a $30 adjustment; a quarterly plan is a $20 adjustment.
3. Help Us Help You (Customer Responsibilities)
To get your bins sparkling, we need a little help from you:
- Empty Bins: Please ensure your bins have been emptied by the council and are free of waste before we arrive.
- Bin Location: Leave your bins on the kerb at the front of your property where we can easily reach them (not behind gates, fences, or near pets).
- Identification: If your bins aren’t numbered, we’ll assume the bins on your property are the ones to be cleaned.
- Identification: you agree to have our ID sticker attached to your bin
4. If We Can’t Clean Your Bin
We operate a "1 Strike Policy." As long as the council can empty your bin, we can usually clean it!
- Rescheduling: If we can’t make it due to our own scheduling issues or weather, we’ll notify you and provide a credit or refund.
- Missed Opportunities: If we arrive and the bins are missing, full of rubbish, or inaccessible, we unfortunately have to charge a $10 callout fee to cover our travel and time.
- Skip a Clean: Going away? If you know your bins won't be available, just message us at 027 246 6332 after receiving your reminder, and we’ll skip the service to avoid any charges.
5. Health & Safety (Animal Faeces & Contaminants)
Our team’s health and the cleanliness of our equipment are top priorities.
- Hazardous Waste: We cannot clean bins containing wet paint, excessive oil, or human/animal faeces.
- Surcharges: If a bin contains animal waste, a $10 surcharge per bin applies. This covers the cost of cleaning our PPE and water filtration system. In some cases, we may have to decline the clean for safety reasons, and a callout fee will apply.
6. The Fine Print (But Still Important!)
- Damage: While BinBlaster.co.nz takes the utmost care with your property, we aren't liable for pre-existing damage or issues reported after we’ve left the site.
- Price Changes: We may update our prices occasionally. If we do, we’ll give you one month’s notice.
- Keeping in Touch: Please keep your contact details up to date so you never miss a reminder or update from us.
- Notice to Stop: If you wish to end your service, please give us two weeks' notice in writing.
